While a number of siding options are available for your pole building project, the vast majority of our customers choose 29 gauge painted steel siding. We use a 36″ wide panel (Nor-Clad®) with exposed fasteners which is ideal for pole building construction. Through our supplier, ASC Building Products, the Nor-Clad® panel is also backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty when used on Residential applications (some limitations apply).
The advantages to using steel siding on your garage, shop or barn are many.
• It comes in a 3’ wide panel designed with ease of installation as a primary consideration thereby reducing labor costs.
• There is no need to paint your pole building and with 21 different colors, it is easy to find a color to match your existing residence and/or other structures on your property.
• Steel is made from recycled material. About 25% of the steel used in Nor Clad is melted down from recycled steel. Unlike other products, steel can be recycled at the end of its useful life.
• Steel siding requires very little maintenance. At a minimum, keep dirt, irrigation, drainage, vegetation and weed whips away from all wall panels of your building. Clean your siding once a year per manufacturers recommendations. Follow all other manufacturers recommendations for maintenance.
For a cost effective, low maintenance siding option, pre-painted steel siding is an excellent option for siding your PermaBilt® pole building.
