Steel Pole Building in Olympia – Thurston County

When it comes to designing versatile and functional spaces, pole buildings are an increasingly popular choice. Recently, a customer decided to add to their property by constructing a 14’x40’x14′ pole building with an additional 10’x40’x9′ enclosed lean-to for extra parking space. The blend of practicality and aesthetic appeal makes this garage a standout feature on their property.

The Main Structure: Spacious and Functional

The primary pole building measures an impressive 14 feet in width, 40 feet in length, and 14 feet in height. This generous size provides ample space for various uses, from vehicle storage to workshop activities. The design includes a 12’x12′ garage door, which offers easy access for larger vehicles, equipment, and trailers. Complementing this is an 8’x7′ garage door, perfect for standard cars, smaller machinery, or additional equipment storage. Both doors feature Sherwood lite panels, adding a touch of elegance and ensuring plenty of natural light filters into the building, creating a bright and welcoming interior.

The Enclosed Lean-to: Extra Space with Added Value

To maximize functionality, an enclosed lean-to measuring 10’x40’x9′ was added to the structure. This additional space is perfect for parking another vehicle or for use as extra storage. The enclosed design provides protection from the elements, ensuring whatever is stored inside remains safe and secure. This lean-to seamlessly integrates with the main building, maintaining a cohesive and streamlined appearance.

Aesthetic Choices: Everglade and Canyon Red

The customer selected Everglade for the siding, a color that exudes a calm, natural vibe reminiscent of lush, green landscapes. This shade blends well with various surroundings, making the building an attractive addition to any property. To contrast the serene Everglade siding, Canyon Red was chosen for the roofing and trim. This bold, vibrant color adds a dynamic element to the building’s appearance, creating a visually striking contrast that enhances the overall aesthetic appeal.

Conclusion: A Perfect Blend of Style and Utility

This custom pole building with an enclosed lean-to demonstrates how practical design can coexist with style. The spacious main building, combined with the additional lean-to, provides versatile storage and workspace options. The use of Sherwood lite panels on the garage doors ensures the interior remains bright and inviting. The choice of Everglade siding with Canyon Red roofing and trim not only makes a statement but also complements the building’s functionality with a beautiful finish. This project showcases how thoughtful design and color selection can transform a simple structure into a standout feature on any property.
