Our customer originally contacted us looking for a building kit to build himself. He wanted a high/low style garage with a shop area and room for a closed-off office space in one building. Working with our Building Representative, he ultimately decided that he would have us build the building rather than construct it himself. The final design was a 36’ x 38’ x 10’/16’ high/low insulated building. He added the RV bay for future resale value. The building had (2) 10’ x 8’ and (1) 12’ x 14’ raised panel steel backed insulated garage door with rope openers, (2) 4’ x 3’ sliding windows with screens, (1) 3’ x 6’8” PermaBilt Door with self-closing hinges and stainless steel lockset and (1) 10’ continuous flow ridge vent with bird blocking at both gables. The building also has an 18” overhang around the full perimeter of the building and a 36’ x 38’ x 4” concrete floor with fibermesh reinforcement and zip-strip crack control.
Once the engineering was completed, our permit department submitted for a building permit. After some challenges with the county, our crew was scheduled and erected the building in the dead of winter. The customer was happy he elected to have our skilled crews do the building. Ultimately the building turned out beautifully, the Chestnut Brown color of the building blends in with the property and our customer ended up with the building he wanted.
