High Low Pole Building in Olympia – Thurston County

Initial Contact

Our customer in Olympia reached out to us with a vision: a high/low style garage that would include a shop area and a closed-off office space, all within a single building on his property in Thurston County, Washington.

Design Collaboration and Decision

After consulting with our expert PermaBilt Building Representative, the customer decided to entrust us with the construction instead of building it himself. The final design was an impressive 36’ x 38’ x 10’/16’ high/low insulated building. He opted to include an RV bay to enhance future resale value.

Building Specifications

The building featured:

  • Two 10’ x 8’ and one 12’ x 14’ raised panel steel-backed insulated garage doors with rope openers.
  • Two 4’ x 3’ sliding windows with screens.
  • One 3’ x 6’8” PermaBilt Door with self-closing hinges and a stainless steel lock set.
  • One 10’ continuous flow ridge vent with bird blocking at both gables.
  • An 18” overhang around the entire perimeter.
  • A 36’ x 38’ x 4” concrete floor with fiber-mesh reinforcement and zip-strip crack control.

Permitting and Construction

Once the engineering phase was complete, our permit department submitted the necessary paperwork for a building permit. Despite some challenges with the county, our crew was scheduled, and they erected the building during the harsh winter months.

Project Completion and Customer Satisfaction

The customer was pleased with his decision to have our skilled crew handle the construction. The high/low garage RV storage building turned out beautifully, with the chestnut brown color blending seamlessly into the property. As a result, our customer ended up with the exact building he envisioned, achieving both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
