First, the customer was interested in a steeper, cabin-style roof. Which would add a rustic charm to the building and match the style of the other buildings on the property. As well as match the colors with the black steel siding and roofing with the cedar accents on the custom garage doors and enclosed soffits. 

A standout feature of the project is the enclosed cedar soffits. These tongue and groove cedar soffits were installed to match the custom garage doors. Thus creating a cohesive look throughout the building. The decision to use cedar for both the soffits and garage doors brings out the natural beauty of the wood. As well as contrast with the black siding to really make the color pop out. In addition to the enclosed cedar soffits, we worked with the customer to trim and frame out garage door openings for their custom cedar garage doors.

We received a call from a returning customer, who had moved up to Pierce County and needed another PermaBilt pole building. This pole building measures 36’x48’x11′ and includes a 10’x24’x9′ lean-to that acts as a covered porch. The building is equipped with two 10×9 roll-up garage doors, making it easy to get in and out. Steel siding and roofing were used for durability, and we added metal building insulation to the roof and walls for better energy efficiency.

Our customer in Olympia reached out to us with a vision: a high/low style garage that would include a shop area and a closed-off office space, all within a single building on his property in Thurston County, Washington.

Design Collaboration and Decision

After consulting with our expert PermaBilt Building Representative, the customer decided to entrust us with the construction instead of building it himself. The final design was an impressive 36’ x 38’ x 10’/16’ high/low insulated building. He opted to include an RV bay to enhance future resale value.
