This single slope pole building shop and studio office in Edmonds Washington was built for a carpenter and artist. He needed a space that allowed for maximum flexibility, lots of natural light and had a bit of style. Working with his PermaBilt® Building Representative they came up with this Grid lean-to design that utilized glue lam beans to keep the floor space clear of any interior posts. The Lean-To sloping roof profile along with the Portico gives this shop the modern exterior look he was trying to achieve. Lots of windows and a roll up door with a double row of lights allows for maximum natural lighting. The roll up door also allows easy accessibility for those large carpentry and art projects. He was very impressed with the professionalism and cleanliness of the construction crew, noting that they left the site in cleaner than it was when they started.
