A PermaBilt® customer came to us needing a two car garage and shop pole barn design with specific design elements. For example, he wanted a Dutch Hip roof to add a bit of architectural flair, a porch to enjoy those beautiful summer days in Olympia Washington, and garage doors with 45 degree mitered corners. Additionally, he wanted to install his own specialty wood siding and a custom made front door.
The Dutch Hip was a new design element for us at the time, but we designed and engineered it and built it and now it is a part of our product offering. The customer installed his custom siding once we were complete with our work. The building features included picture windows, ridge vents, eave and gable overhangs as well as gutters with downspouts. Each of these elements was key to our customer’s satisfaction with his new building. The final step was a concrete floor with apron was that included fibermesh reinforcement (for added strength and durability) and zip-strip crack-control (which reduces random cracking of the slab).
The end result was a garage and shop owned by a very satisfied customer.
