What are Coffer Trusses?

Coffer trusses are a type of roof truss that are designed with a series of rectangular or square indentations, or “coffers,” built into the bottom chord of the truss. These indentations serve several purposes: they add greater headroom in the building which allows for larger garage doors without increasing the height of the building; they provide additional space for ventilation; and they add visual interest to the building’s interior.
