Our Story

Founded in 1982, PermaBilt® is a major building contractor in the Western United States specializing in the design and construction of premium-quality post-frame and wood-frame, steel-covered buildings. After decades in the industry, we understand the value of employing safe, skilled, and reliable crews. That’s why we take great pride in maintaining a drug-free workplace.

For us, quality and service come down to one thing: the ability to look our customers & our neighbors in the eye and know we delivered our very best work at a fair price. On every job, our goal is to build something we are proud to have represent our name and reputation long after construction is complete. We never cut corners on workmanship, materials, or the people who build them.

Our company-trained, full-time crews live in the communities where they work, supported by our headquarters in Lynnwood, Washington. Together, we guide customers through every step of the process, from design, permitting, and financing through construction and final inspection.

In 1985, our founder, Glenn Miller, purchased a leading competitor, Town & Country Steel Buildings, which is now a division of PermaBilt. Glenn’s leadership and vision helped shape the foundation of the company we are today and established a legacy of quality craftsmanship that continues to guide us.

Today, the combined company is responsible for the design and construction of well over 23,000 pole buildings in Washington State alone.
